The Bridge can be found along Route 114 when you cross Bristol to Portsmouth. If you detour Old Ferry Rd you will be welcome with an incredible view.

The National Historic Bridge was finished in 1929. It was the longest bridge in New England until the Claiborne Pell Bridge opened a few miles away 40 years later. The bridge was privately owned until the state bought it in 1954 as the U.S expanded its highways and the population of motor vehicles grew.
